About Us

     Riyoku.com or Ricom for short began as a simple image host for my own personal use in the year 2004. The intent to make it into an actual website was always there but the wheels didn't begin to turn until about a year and a half later.
     After a lot of hard work and dedication, the template and several pages worth of information were finally finished and published bit by bit between late '05 and early '06. Between late '06 and late '07 there was another huge gap of down time. But then things picked up again later in '07.

     The goal of this website was originally just to be a personal art gallery. That way I could finally showcase my work however I wanted. The terms and conditions of most free-use art galleries these days can be ridiculous if people bothered to actually read them half the time.
     As time went on though, I have decided to add more than that. I realized that a lot of my pictures featured characters no one knew anything about and some of them races I have invented that had no resources on them. I also had a lot of stories to tell about them and their world as well. So with this I decided I was going to attempt a web comic of sorts along with character directories and bestiaries that update along with the comics.

     What was a simple idea has evolved into something much more. My own little world and the website that revolves around it. But, it is still always growing and input is always welcome that would help it grow even more. So please feel free to comment, suggest, and the like through our contacts page.

Riyoku is of a race from a different universe. She looks like a regular fennec fox with odd coloration and wings, but such couldn't be further from the truth. In reality, she and all of her kind are dragons. Not all dragons are big scaly reptiles that breathe fire and smoke, you know.
But, Riyoku in particular is quite the mystery. She never dabbles into her past or much about herself in general. She's very motherly in nature and looks out for everyone who crosses her path if she can help it.
